There is a last minute change in our travel plans. We will lodge in Texarkana, Texas tonight, Sunday and head from Texarkana to Houston on Monday. I believe we will be in Houston about 5PM. Although we have a short travel day today, I had to modify our plans due hotel availability. It appears the folks who fled hurricane Katrina are still housed in many of the Texas hotels near the upper part of the state. Our route of travel has also changed. We will NOT be traveling down route 59, but instead will head to Dallas, Texas and then proceed South from there. By making this change, the remainder of our journey will be on highways instead of secondary roads. We will be leaving Memphis in about one hour and we're looking at cloudy skies with thunderstorms. Oh my.....
