A Real Taste of Texas - A VIDEO POST

Well this is just something that I never did get to see while working in NY. This was an animal auction as part of an FFA (Future Farmers of America) event. It's certainly Texas loud and clear.

The last time I was at a farm auction is when I went to camp in Oakland MD. They took us to a FFA auction in Terre Haute WV. I bought a rooster for 50 cents.
Brought the rooster back to camp and tied it to a tree. After 1 week the camp forced me to give the bird away as it was cock a doodle @ 4:00 AM.

It was quite interesting, that's for sure. The animals went for thousands of dollars. I am not sure where they ended up though. Perhaps a too close up look at the food chain for me.
