Interesting Dish from Russia!

Had this intesting dish tonight at a dinner gathering held at Karen and Hal's home in Nassau Bay, Texas. From what I find on the internet I think it's called Forshmak. I want to call it a herring pie but that's not what it is. Anyway, it was quite unique. Of course I suppose I could ask the person who made it what it is specifically called. I think I'll do that. Oh, and thanks to Karen and Hal for the invitations They put on quite a spread...
